When building a new home there are so many things to consider like paint color, appliances, flooring, and more. At Fresh Twist, our designers do not want you to forget the window treatments. Usually, the last design element to go into your new home, so we want you to be fully prepared before moving in to make sure you have privacy.

Smart Home Integration – Motorized Blinds and Shades

Smart home integration has become a standard in our daily lives. Whether you are starting from scratch or planning a major renovation, technology is changing the way we live. Bringing us in as soon as the framework is in place will ensure your electrician adds the additional wiring needed to operate your shades. That will eliminate the need for batteries.

Additionally, pre-wiring for low voltage in the planning stage of your project is a must because many builders are using spray foam insulation instead of the old fiberglass batting. Trying to fish wire through foam is almost impossible. Your electrician will basically run a home wire from each window to a central location. And if you are planning to install skylights, do not forget to pre-wire them too. Motorized shades can be a lifesaver when the glare on the TV is interfering with your football game.
